Bank of China (“BOC”) is one of China's oldest and most important financial institutions. It began operations in Brazil in 1998, establishing a representative office. In 2009, it went one step further and founded Banco da China (Brasil) S.A., headquartered in São Paulo, the financial heart of the country, being the first Chinese financial institution to operate in South America, offering a wide range of financial services, such as corporate credit, corporate finance and trade settlement.

In 2024, BOC consolidated its presence in the Brazilian market by acquiring a controlling stake in China Construction Bank (Brazil), which adopted the new name Bank of China (Brasil) Banco Múltiplo S.A. With this, it expanded its operations, becoming a reference in investments and trading in Renminbi, facilitating trade and investment relations between Brazilian and Chinese companies.

With a comprehensive banking license, Bank of China (Brazil) operates with excellence in the financial segments demanded by the corporate market. With a qualified team of over 300 professionals, activities are divided between the head office and eight service points in strategic locations throughout the country and a branch in Cayman Island. The institution operates through its credit, investment, foreign exchange and foreign trade portfolios, which are geared towards large companies in particular.
